Happy New Year!

I love how this time of year gives us all permission for a fresh start.  Changing the number at the end of the year seems to say, “Hey, why don’t you start that thing you’ve been wanting to.”  We finally allow ourselves to drop that bad habit.  It really is amazing.  I know there are many people out there who don’t like the idea of New Year’s resolutions – probably because they often involve unrealistic ideas of how our lifestyles are going to change.  I understand, I do.  But – I so enjoy the idea of taking a moment to be still and evaluate life that I can’t help but love a New Year.

Not Just Another Day

I’m not about to go write a New Year’s Resolution in stone.  But…  Here’s what I am going to do: I’m going to take time to rejoice over all of the fabulous things that happened in 2013.  I’m going to evaluate how I can change my lifestyle to better myself & better love those around me.  I am going to pray over a “word of the year” – something I did for the first time last year.  {a word I take to heart, and use to motivate myself and my decisions – I’ll share more about it in a later post}  I am going to get out my fancy-pants new planner and set goals for the year.  I am going to tell myself that I have the self-control, discipline, and overall awesomeness to achieve some new habits & attitudes in my life.

I love this…

It Won't be Boring

Two “Rachel-revolutions” for 2014:

-a regular sleeping schedule: just call me “early birdie”

-stay more connected with YOU… blog & FB regularly about the awesome things happening at Rardon Design!

So what about you?  Are you a New Year’s resolution person?  What new things do you want to incorporate in 2014?  Will you join me in taking a moment to be still, rejoice in 2013, and set new goals for 2014?

Keep it fresh!
