Classy, Neutral Family Room
To say this home is beautiful, is an understatement. The family room was ready for an update, and there were a few priorities: shrink the built-in cabinetry to make the room feel larger, add stone to the fireplace/focal wall, update colors and furniture, update window coverings, and carry wood floor throughout the home into this space. We started with scale drawings of the cabinetry and extended the mantle across the full center width to give it a connected feeling. The stone adds texture and color to this focal wall. The wood floor throughout the home was seamlessly extended to this space, with a plush rug added for comfort. New window coverings add a softness to the windows, and a punch of contrast with the side panels. Furniture, art, lamps, and accessories round out the room for a complete look.
