If you follow me on Facebook, you may have seen my recent display – complete with lots of pumpkins, and a gorgeous birch painting. If not, Like Rardon Design on FB here.
Today I thought it would be fun to give you a little behind the scenes of my painting process. I’m not a very “technical” artist… I kind of just put paint on the canvas until I love it. 🙂 But here’s how the beautiful fall birch trees came together.
I used a wet brush to fade the background colors together.
I then used a palette knife for all of the trunk details.
A plate full of red, orange, and yellow paint helped create the leaves. I simply used paint brushes of different sizes, for different sizes of leaves.
And here it is: in the gorgeous fall display!

Happy November. Have a beautiful Friday!
