Macrame. String art. Woven tapestries.
They’re back! I know these words may bring back haunting memories from days ago. But stay with me – shake off the images of dusty, bulky rope; and embrace the new face of colorful, fun, quirky woven tapestries.
I have yet to use the woven wall hanging trend in the Rardon house, but I am so intrigued by this soft artwork.
Emily Henderson is one of my all time favs. Check out this gorgeous string art in her home.
Um… not sure it gets any more light, airy, and gorgeous than that?!
I love that these woven beauties give us a new texture for the walls. No need to have rigid squares on every wall – break it up with some softness and texture!
And, of course, we know it’s cool if Anthropologie is on board:
BrittanyMakes knocked it out of the park with this DIY version: so simple & cute.
Etsy is a great source for all things handmade – including woven tapestries of all sorts! This one by jujujust would look amazing in the Rardon house. I love the colors.
So, what do you think? Are you clearing a place on your wall for a woven tapestry right now? Or do you wish these furry beasts would have stayed in the 70s?
